Log a sale, a purchase or a batch once, and the stock count, the low-stock list and the profit per product update from it. So you see what's running low before you sell out. One inventory spreadsheet you own, in Google Sheets and Excel.

Google Sheets on any device, or Excel
Screens from the sample copy, filled with a small maker's example data: products and supplies, sales, the reorder list, stock by place and the dashboard.
You type the sale, the purchase or the batch. The tabs behind it do the rest: the count, the cost, the profit and what's running low.
Stock goes down at that place. The sale carries the item's unit cost and price, so the cost of goods, gross profit and margin fill in for every line.
Stock goes up when the goods arrive. The unit cost carries over, and what you ordered but haven't received yet shows as still to come.
Set a reorder level per item. Each one shows in stock, running low or out of stock, and the Reorder List fills itself with a suggested quantity to order.
Optional Recipes and Batches take the supplies out of stock, add the finished pieces, and work out the cost of one piece from your supply costs.
Best sellers and slow movers, profit by product and by category, and sales by place, filtered by year, category or place.
No subscription, no price rises, no account with us. It lives in your Google Drive or on your computer, and it's yours to keep.
Start Here (how it works in 3 steps; your business name, currency, year start, categories and places; which tabs to hide), Products & Supplies (one row per product or supply, with its on hand, reorder level, cost and price) and Suppliers (who you buy from and what you spend with each).
Sales, Purchases, Adjustments (corrections after a count, breakage, samples and gifts) and Transfers (moving stock between places). Every row moves the count.
The Dashboard, the Reorder List and Stock by Place: on hand and stock value for each place, or for all of them.
Recipes (the supplies in one finished piece and the cost of one piece) and Batches (supplies out, finished pieces in). Hide them if you only resell.
Every tab works in Google Sheets and Excel. Log each sale, purchase or batch once, and the tabs below update from it.
Keep track of every product and supply in one table. The on hand number fills itself from every sale, purchase, adjustment, transfer and batch, so the count you see is the count you logged. After a count on the shelf, one adjustment with a reason puts it right.
Every product and supply at or below its reorder level shows up here by itself, with what's on hand, what's already on order, and a suggested quantity that brings it back up to the target level you set. Your usual supplier sits next to it.
Log a sale with the date, item, quantity and place, and the unit price and unit cost fill in from Products & Supplies (you can overwrite them). Stock goes down at that place, and the cost of goods, gross profit and margin follow for every line: figures for your own tracking, not tax figures.
Log what you ordered and what arrived. The unit cost fills in from your stock list, stock goes up when the goods arrive, and open quantities show what's still to come. Suppliers lists who you buy from and what you buy, and your spend with each fills in from Purchases.
For what you make: a recipe lists the supplies and quantities that go into one finished piece, and works out the cost of one piece from your supply costs. Log a batch and the supplies come out of stock while the finished pieces go in, at the place you choose. Both tabs are optional.
Your places come preset as Shop, Online orders and Markets & events, and you can rename them. Move stock to a fair with a transfer, log what sold there, move back what came home, and see what went, what sold and what came back. Totals don't change when stock moves; each place's count does.
Counts of items running low and out of stock sit at the top of the dashboard, next to sales, cost of goods, gross profit and margin by month. Best sellers and slow movers, profit by product and category, sales by place and spend by supplier, filtered by year, category or place.
Monthly fees that keep going up, screens that change under you, features that move or go, and weeks of setup. A spreadsheet you own works differently.
One honest difference: it doesn't connect to your online shop or your till, and it doesn't scan barcodes. You type or paste each sale as a row, and the stock, cost and profit follow from it.
Already keep a homemade sheet? The formulas here are built and linked across all 12 tabs, so it doesn't turn into the sheet you stop updating.
Add your items once. After that, each sale, purchase or batch is one row.
